Supplies

Before you start cleaning your RV’s interior, you need to gather some supplies. Since you’ll be in a compact space, you’ll need to consolidate your supplies or buy smaller versions of them. Some general supplies that will come in handy include lemon juice, vinegar, and baking soda. These are all fairly inexpensive, effective and avoid the use of harsh chemicals in a small space. Dish soap is another great supply, so we recommend stocking up on it. Magic Erasers and sponges will always come in handy, and so will microfiber wipes!

Washing

Keeping your RV clean on a regular basis is an easy preventative measure to ensure your interior is ready to be used. Dirt and grime can pose a major threat and wear down the different parts of your camper, ultimately causing more damage. At the very least, you should do a thorough cleaning of your rig once before and after winter storage as well as after every extended trip.

Although washing is mostly intuitive, there are some general tips for doing it right. Make sure you’re not using any materials that will damage your RV’s interior. Use a gentle detergent and a variety of brushes and rags. If you’re not sure what method of cleaning is best for your vehicle, check your owner’s manual.

Touch Ups

There are a few places in your camper that can use a quick touch up now and then. Clean your windows regularly to allow in the natural light. Dust the interior periodically so there aren’t any allergy-inducing particles. Wipe down the dashboard if you have one, and use vinyl or leather protector to clean the nicer furniture. Wipe down areas like counters and cabinets to keep grime from building up over time.

We hope these simple tips help you keep your rig’s interior clean. After all, nobody wants to sleep in a dirty camper!
