1. Island Oktoberfest

Oktoberfests have been going on since the end of September throughout Texas and the big Wurstfest celebration in New Braunfels doesn't start till November 1st. However, if you want to head down to the Texas coast and have some great German food, Island Oktoberfest is for you. Hosted by the First Lutheran Church with free admission, it's a great way to enjoy fall flavors on the coast.

2. SFA Homecoming

For those who live in or near the Nacogdoches area, Stephen F. Austin State University hosts their annual Homecoming celebration each fall with a bonfire, parade in downtown Nacogdoches, and football game. A great reason to come visit and say hi to MOT while you're in town!

3. 29th Annual Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest

If you enjoy the finer things in life, then Fredericksburg, Texas is the place for you! Enjoy wine, food, and great company with admission that includes souvenirs like a wine bag and a custom Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest wine glass. Beautiful fall weather makes this the perfect outdoor event.

4. Texas Book Festival in Austin

Looking for an educational event that is fun for the whole family? The Texas Book Festival in Austin features authors answering questions, meeting fans, and signing books, plus activities throughout the day like face painting and crafts. Take in the sights and sounds of our great state capital and pick up a few good reads while you are there!
