Tips and Tricks with our in house expert Linda. Idea's and ways to utilize and save space inside your motorhome and solving common household issues like losing your remote, and keeping item's from sliding off the counter's.
- We could all use a little extra room. Save space by using an over-the-cabinet-door wastebasket for the bathroom. For more space, use square and rectangular storage containers instead of round ones. The containers sit next to one another and take up less space for maximum storage organization!
- Can’t keep track of where that remote is? Use Velcro on the backs of your remotes to keep them in one place. You can even Velcro your remotes to the side of a cabinet to save counter and drawer space!
- Display calendar events and fun photos on the inside of a cabinet door with Command strips. This will allow for quick access to important information and give the magnets on the refrigerator a break. Also, add Command hooks to the inside of your kitchen cabinets to hang your pot holders or other kitchen accessories.
- Prevent cracking and other damage to your fridge door’s rubber seal by cleaning the rubber with a mild cleaner and let dry. Smear a small amount of Vaseline on the rubber to keep it pliant for that tight vacuum seal.
- Want to kill two birds with one stone? At the end of a trip, empty all the ice from the ice maker bucket right into the commode! The ice will do a good job eliminating build up in the black tank, knocking against all the sides of the tank before melting, without the use of extra chemicals. Plus, you will have fresh ice at your next destination.
- To keep items from sliding on countertops, use clear silicone sealer (do not use adhesive silicone) on the underside of those items. This trick can also be used to bond non-skid mats to decorative rugs or the welcome mat for wiping shoes.
