Fun Facts about Foretravel
The Fore family’s tradition for travel began in 1876 when CM Fore's grandparents traveled and settled in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The very first Foretravel model that CM and Marie built with their son Ray was called the Foretravel Super Luxura.
In 1974, Foretravel pioneered the first use of a diesel engine in a conventional motorhome.
In 1987, Foretravel introduced the Grand Villa Unihome, the first conventional motorhome to utilize monoque chasis design, an eightbag suspension system, and an air leveling system. This innovative design concept revolutionized the motorhome industry, and quickly set the standard by which most quality motorhomes are built today.
In 1999 Foretravel introduced the “slide out."
Foretravel was one of the first in the industry to recognize the need for an owner's club.
The Foretravel Motorcade Club was born with the merger of Foretravel travelers and the Travco motorcade club. The Travco motorcade club was one of the very first owner’s clubs and dates back to 1965.
CM (Clarence Mize) Fore began Foretravel as a second career after working at Nibco for 25 years. His second career began with his love for camping and spending time with his family traveling.
