Are you looking for a little peace and quiet after the chaos of the holidays? Winter is a special time for travel, especially in a motorhome and is the perfect time to take and plan a quiet getaway. See our top motorhome winter travel destinations to inspire your seasonal travels:

Winter Destinations (For a snowy winter)

  • Steamboat Springs, Colorado A beautiful ski town in Colorado and the ultimate RV travel spot. Soak in hot springs, ski, or take a ride in a snowmobile.

  • Methow Valley, Washington This is a great spot for RVers who want to visit the Pacific Northwest/Canada border. Come for the stunning skiing experience and stay at the Riverbed RV Park and take in the beauty of Washington State.

  • Salt Lake City, Utah This is the location of Utah’s premier ski village. If you are not the skier in the family, there are also many museums to explore and exceptional food to try!

National Parks to visit during the winter (For warmer destinations)

  • Death Valley National Park (California/Nevada) Winter is the perfect time to go out and hike here- because this is one of the hottest, driest locations, but winter time brings the most pleasant temperatures, around 60’s and 70’s during the day  and 40’s and 50’s at night.

  • Big Bend National Park (Texas/Mexico border) Enjoy the canyon views, night skies, and river. This is one of the most remote places in America, winter is the perfect time to go and explore!

  • Saguaro National Park (Tucson, Arizona) This national park celebrates and protects this unique plant- the saguaro cactus. Winter in this national park takes the edge off the heat and offers a magical experience!
